One of my more recent side projects has been getting into and documenting subcultural events most people don't see, or are even aware of. The DC area has proven an ideal location for this, providing a confluence of immigrants, politicos, rednecks, and half a dozen indigenous local cultures that exist side-by-side but rarely intermix.
